Mr Alp de Waal is a healthcare operations leader and registered manager with a background in management, regulatory compliance, and clinical research support. Known for combining operational discipline with a patient-centred approach, Alp is instrumental in maintaining high standards of care within the UK’s private mental health sector.
Mr de Waal completed a master of science degree in 2021, laying an academic foundation for a career in healthcare management and clinical services oversight. After completing his postgraduate studies, he joined Berkeley Psychiatrists, a leading private mental health practice based in London. There, he contributed both to operational management and clinical research support.
In August 2025, he became the Registered Manager of Berkeley Psychiatrists, a title formally recognised by the Care Quality Commission. As registered manager, he is legally responsible for the day-to-day operations and the overall quality of the service. This includes managing staff teams, overseeing service delivery, ensuring full regulatory compliance, maintaining budgets, and fostering a safe and positive workplace culture.
